Following Israel’s strikes on multiple locations in Iran early Friday morning (June 13), tensions have once again escalated between the two sides.

According to the Associated Press, citing Israeli officials, Iran has launched more than 100 drones at Israel in recent hours. However, the report does not detail any specific damages caused by the drones but notes that Israel’s entire defense system remains fully operational.

Israel claims that its latest strikes targeted Iran’s nuclear facilities, while Iranian sources say residential areas and apartment buildings were hit instead.

According to Iranian media, in addition to the reported deaths of IRGC Commander Hossein Salami and several nuclear experts, around 50 civilians have been injured in the attacks, approximately 30 of them women and children.

However, the Iranian government has not yet released any official figures on casualties.

Meanwhile, Iran’s supreme religious leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, issued a statement warning that Israel will face severe punishment in response to the attacks.

Additionally, Iran has closed its airspace to all flights until further notice.
