Local sources in Kunduz province have reported a relatively powerful explosion in the provincial capital on Tuesday evening, April 22.
According to eyewitnesses, the blast occurred at around 8:23 PM near Bala Hesar Square in the city, with the sound of the explosion heard across several areas.
Sources say that a Ranger-type vehicle belonging to Taliban forces was the apparent target of the explosion. However, no information has been released yet regarding possible casualties or damage.
As of the time of publishing this report, Taliban officials have not commented on the incident.
