Sadr Azam Othmani, Taliban Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, has traveled to Iran at the head of a delegation.
The purpose of this trip is to participate in the “Iran Expo” International Exhibition, strengthen economic relations, facilitate the export and import of agricultural products, and encourage Afghan businessmen to invest in Afghanistan.
Mohammad Kazem Gholam Shahamat, spokesperson for the Taliban Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, stated: “The aim of this visit is to review and explore modern agricultural and livestock technologies, exchange views with Afghan traders residing in Iran, and attract foreign investments to boost Afghanistan’s agriculture and livestock sectors.”
Some experts, pointing to Afghanistan’s need for investment in agriculture, view this visit as an opportunity to expand economic cooperation, enhance trade interactions, and attract investments to Afghanistan.
The seventh International Exhibition of the Export Capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran, titled “Iran Expo,” will be held from April 28 to May 2 for five days.
This annual exhibition hosts high-ranking officials and businessmen from over a hundred countries around the world.
